Job description

A logistics company that specializes in international freight logistics is seeking a Sales Manager to develop new domestic and international clients and attain revenue goals for a given sales territory. This is a FULLY REMOTE position that involves providing comprehensive transportation solutions, maintaining existing business volumes, and prospecting for new business opportunities. The Sales Manager will market the company s transportation, warehousing, and distribution services, and report directly to senior management.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 / year DOE

Sales Manager Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales and management experience in the freight/cargo industry
  • Proficiency in Word and Outlook
  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver s license
  • E-Freight software experience preferred
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent networking skills and a proven record of sales success
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work fully remote and travel as needed
  • Currently resides in LA or New York highly preferable

Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities by cold calling and following up on sales leads
  • Bring in existing customer base or established network and maintain current business relationships to improve profitability
  • Build a pipeline and solicit new business opportunities
  • Plan weekly sales calls and create a target sales list
  • Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in pricing analysis and sales presentations
  • Attend sales meetings and participate in industry-related organizations
  • Hit individual and team quotas
