Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Catering Sales Manager for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

This role is eligible for both Omni's Catering Sales Incentive Plan, and Work From Home Program! Omni Hotels & Resorts values our associate’s work/life balance and supports WFH options for our specific sales, service, revenue management and leader roles. After 90 days of employment, Catering Sales Managers will be eligible to earn 2 WFH days and a 3rd day if they are 100% of YTD goal.  Please note, this program is at the sole discretion of the GM/DOSM, and has additional guidelines to adhere to. 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Sell and solicit new and repeat local catering business (including the social and corporate markets) requiring less than 10 rooms.
  • Plan, up sell, and coordinate all details with each client.
  • Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments.
  • Communication with clients prior to conventions to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts for all catered functions.
  • Coordinate with client’s contracted vendors (flowers, entertainment, decoration, A/V, etc.) to provide complete client satisfaction and ensure proper event execution
  • Be present onsite during each event to ensure proper event setup and satisfaction of client which may involve nights and weekends
  • Maximize revenues for the hotel through upselling techniques.
  • Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensure all necessary items are in the group file.
  • Work with client directly to form Banquet Event Orders within the guidelines of the hotel's policies and procedures allowing the group to accomplish their goals.
  • Work with sales, reservations, front desk and parking to ensure group’s arrival and stay is consistent with hotel standards.
  • Solve all group problems to the best of your or the hotel's ability within hotel's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ year of experience as a Catering Sales Manager, and or like experience in event planning.
  • Experience within weddings preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience in a hotel setting, preferably 4 or 5 diamond resort.
  • Experience with Delphi is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
