Job Summary/Objective

Ensures processes and controls are in place to safeguard all valid sales orders are accurately captured, billed, and collected.

Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential To The Job)

  • Leads revenue assurance activities. Oversees and manages the revenue assurance processes to ensure compliance and no leakage.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of billings and revenue data to identify areas of potential leakage.
  • Develops, designs and implements controls to ensure all valid sales orders are accurately captured, billed and collected.
  • Leads and conducts regular audits to ensure compliance with revenue assurance processes.
  • Investigates and resolves complex revenue assurance-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Works closely with accounting, finance, IT, operations, and other departments to collaborate and partner on streamlining revenue processes and improving efficiency.
  • Utilizes advanced data analytics tools to monitor and analyze revenue data.
  • Prepares detailed reports on revenue assurance activities and presents findings to senior management.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements to enhance revenue generation and assurance.
  • Ensures overall compliance by strict adherence to all financial regulations and standards.
  • Works to safeguard the financial integrity of the organization and optimizing revenue streams.

Education

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

Experience, Skills And Key Competencies

At least 5 years of experience is required in revenue assurance or a related field, with a proven track record of managing revenue assurance activities, and a work background that demonstrates leadership abilities and experience in working cross-functionally with other teams to implement improvements in revenue assurance processes.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, data analytics tools, and skill at developing/modifying SQL specifically in Google Big Query.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Can effectively organize and manage day-to-day work and priorities, and use time, energy and resources to meet goals, deadlines, deliverables, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and reduce any leakage, through escalation to management and then actively implementing changes working with other teams to correct or add billing.
  • Able to achieve high scores in revenue assurance audits.
  • Can implement effective process improvements to optimize revenue operations.
  • Able to provide insights from revenue data analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Can ensure full compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Skilled at resolving complex revenue discrepancies to minimize financial impact.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
  • Able to effectively work and thrive in a remote/hybrid work environment that has limited opportunities for in-person interactions.
