Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Finance for our esteemed non-profit organization, committed to enhancing the lives of immigrants, refugee families, and low-income individuals in Central Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all financial operations and budgeting processes, ensuring effective fiscal management and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all financial activities and strategic financial planning.
  • Lead and manage the fiscal and accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting.
  • Mentor and guide the accounting and fiscal management team to foster professional development.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of financial processes and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage diverse budgets encompassing general and administrative expenses, fringe benefits, and corporate accounts.
  • Review and analyze grant award documents and contractual agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor fiscal policies to promote operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director to align financial practices with organizational goals.
  • Negotiate financial agreements with banks to maintain adequate working capital.
  • Effectively communicate and present significant financial information to the Board of Directors.
