This HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of HR programs and policies for our clients.

As an HR Generalist, you will partner with our HR Consultants to support local organizations on being their fractional CHRO, find top-notch employees, provide HR Generalist support to our amazing clients (really -- these clients are the best), and provide best-in-class customer service. We get to know our clients extremely well and provide high-touch services to attract and retain the best people for them.

Role Description

Influence organizational decision-making with sound advice, practical application of Slice best practices, and creative problem-solving

Assist business owners in the practical application of HR policies & procedures

Conduct client recruitment including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and interviewing using our established process

Answer employee questions about benefits, policies, procedures, and pay

Assist in conduct Organizational & Compliance Audits

Establish and maintain your desired billable hours; enter time into Workday on a timely basis

Travel to client locations as needed within the local area with a special focus on Dayton, Mason, Cincinnati, and surrounding areas (some local travel to Columbus, Toledo, etc.).

Some client locations could include:

  • Provides guidance, interpretation and compliance of HR policies and procedures
  • Prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual;
  • Understand and research nuances of state and local employment laws
  • Provides guidance and mentoring for managers on HR/employment law best practices

  • Extract HRIS and workforce data reports from various HR systems including Paycor, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, and Insperity
  • Prepare reports required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners and other regulatory agencies;
  • Responsible for onboarding for all new hires and office acquisitions; providing an exceptional employee experience;
  • Ensure all applicable new hire paperwork is received, completed and filed in Workday; 
  • Work in tandem with the Talent Partner on pre-termination discussions with managers and planning for employee exits;
  • Provides HR representation during all termination meetings and assisting the exiting employee with their offboarding;
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, required; preferably in Human Resource management or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years’ Human Resources experience required
  • Professional HR designation (PHR or SHRM-CP), preferred

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour 

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
