Job Purpose Summary

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management of HR operations, acting as a bridge between the organisation's management and its employees. This position requires a broad knowledge of human resources as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. The HR Generalist will be involved in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits administration, and compliance with labour laws.

What You Will Do

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Work with Talent Acquisition to oversee the recruitment process, conduct interviews to select candidates and support onboarding of new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely manner. Promote a positive work environment and culture.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the implementation and management of performance evaluation systems. Provide support to managers in conducting evaluations and managing performance-related issues.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and organise training programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge. Support career development initiatives.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and others. Ensure employees are informed about their benefits.
  • Compliance: Ensure the organisation's compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations. Keep updated on changes in legislation that may affect HR.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and revise HR policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with the organisation's goals and legal requirements.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential HR files and databases. Prepare reports on HR metrics to assist management in decision-making.

What You Will Need (job Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge/experience of German speaking countries and Poland
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be fluent in English, German and Polish.
