Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with diverse fund clients, ensuring the prompt fulfillment of all requirements.
  • Lead and mentor your team by coordinating project timelines and cultivating a collaborative atmosphere of excellence.
  • Leverage your extensive knowledge in alternative investment fund accounting, particularly in private equity, to navigate complex financial transactions and provide sound accounting judgment.
  • Actively engage with both potential and current clients to identify new business opportunities and improve service offerings.
  • Develop and evaluate career progression plans for team members, conducting biannual performance reviews to facilitate their professional development.
  • Offer specialized guidance on technical accounting matters and client service, ensuring adherence to high standards in all outputs.
  • Review and interpret fund governing documents, investment management agreements, and transaction documentation to ensure compliance with fund stipulations.
  • Oversee the accuracy of work paper files, management fee computations, investor allocations, and capital account statements.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit process in partnership with clients and auditors, ensuring an efficient audit experience.
  • Contribute to the creation of targeted educational initiatives for team members, promoting their ongoing professional growth.
  • Support corporate objectives and departmental initiatives, driving success throughout the organization.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in the accounting of alternative investment funds, particularly in private equity.
  • Exceptional client management abilities and proven leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting with a focus on private equity.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
