Digital Application & Innovation is a growth opportunity for Microsoft Azure, as well as its partners and customers. It includes a rich portfolio of products including Managed/PaaS services on the Azure Platform, GitHub, and Visual Studio. These technologies empower developers to build, deploy, and manage applications in a cloud-native way.
- Own technical discussions with customers leveraging processes and tools, demos and programs; using consultative sales methodology and technical expertise to influence customer vision; establish rules of engagement for extended teams. Support the creation of new pipelines in the account team by identifying new opportunities.
- Build technology strategy by mapping the agreed customer business outcomes into an appropriate Azure technology framework, resolving concerns, preventing and removing technical blockers, and translating technology complexity into business impact. Work with the customer, account team, and partners to drive and support the customer’s AI transformation inclusive of AI Applications and data foundation.
- Design the solution using your technical knowledge, architect skills and consulting skills to win a customer’s technical decision and meet the customer’s needs; drive Pilots/Proof of Concepts (PoC) to create momentum for Minimum Viable Product (MVP), infusing AI technologies where appropriate and being technically proficient to do Proof of Concepts (PoC) with hands-on-skills.
- Scale through partner by engaging in partner sell-with scenarios to carry out technical engagement activities, facilitating and managing partner resources and processes for Pilot/Proof of Concepts (PoC)/Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Be the Trusted advisor and be proactive to find and understand customers’ pain points and design and offer the technical solution that aligns with the business case.
- Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team and Global Black Belts to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.
- Maintain and grow expertise in developer tools, cloud native architecture and technologies, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights

As a Microsoft Technology Specialist, you will own and win the technical decision of customers. By demonstrating the value of Microsoft’s cloud services, you will help organizations trust Azure for their workloads, tools, and data.
As a Technology Specialist in Digital Application & Innovation, you’ll be at the forefront of cloud-native architecture. This means designing systems that fully leverage the unique capabilities of the cloud, such as scalability, automation, and cost efficiency.
You will work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision.
Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies such as Containers, DevOps, Software Development Lifecycle etc.
Qualifications
- 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR equivalent experience
