We are currently seeking Senior Electrical Engineer for a program supporting research and development activities in the Health and Defense sectors. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing a electrical power and load design for a suite of health device systems in a modular open systems architecture, assuring electrical and Radio Frequency (RF) communications connectivity requirements are met to support system function in remote and austere environments, on an Electric Vehicle (EV) based platform.
- Oversees electrical and RF design resolving hardware and software infrastructure (servers, networks, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with electrical and RF systems including continuity gaps, system power quality constraints and interference due to user systems, servers, storage, networks and EV internal systems
- Key member of program engineering team to resolve operational needs and provide peer review and Engineering Review Board approval of subcontractor designs.
- Supports new developmental projects with technical and operational expertise.
- Ensures team maintains and complies with all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in hands-on design and implementation of electrical and RF systems for communications/ network / IT systems integration in vehicles/aircraft.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of commercial and military communications systems, power management and networks.
- Knowledge of government information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
- 3 years’ experience with industry standard core services and infrastructure (such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science.
