Team Leader Telephone Interpreting

 

  • Location – Parramatta
  • Employment type: Temporary full-time up till 30 June 2025
  • Grade: Grade 7/8
  • Salary: $ 106024 - $117362 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

The Team Leader, Telephone Interpreting plays a critical role managing a small team responsible for the successful of our remote interpreting services within the Language Services division of Multicultural NSW.

 

This is a great opportunity to join the team at MNSW during a period of significant growth of our interpreting and translation services.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

You will lead a team to deliver timely, efficient, effective and integrated customer service in our remote interpreting (telephone and video) section and engage in operational support initiatives in Language Services. You will be responsible for providing quality information, assistance and customer service by developing proposals, allocating work and monitoring team’s performance. Finally, you will assist the Operations Manager in the development and implementation of best practice frameworks, and effective and ongoing monitoring, measurement and reporting of business unit performance.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Established team and people management skills and an ability to collaborate with colleagues across different functions.
  • A client-centric mindset with established skills to translate customer needs into appropriate operational actions.
  • Demonstrable experience in effectively balancing the management of business-as-usual service delivery with the need to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, within language services an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with capacity to develop insights from data and develop effective business solutions.
