Backlight’s marketing team is seeking a Senior Manager of Events. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing awareness and driving growth for Backlight’s product suite.This role will plan and execute events at various scales and funnel stages, collaborating cross-functionally (and with external agencies and contractors) to deliver impactful events. We're excited to welcome applicants from the US and Canada, on Eastern Time Zone. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead event activations aligned with business objectives, product roadmap, and marketing strategy
  • Support channel partner teams to create engaging experiences across all touchpoints: pre, during, and post-event.
  • Work with stakeholders to build a multi-year growth plan for owned and sponsored events (both virtual and in-person)
  • Develop compelling event programs that mix storytelling, customer experiences, and thought leadership to drive engagement and pipeline
  • Partner with the demand generation team to optimize audience acquisition before and after events
  • Establish scalable, repeatable processes to enhance event planning and promotion efficiency
  • Provide regular event reports with data-driven insights and recommendations

 

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • 5+ years in event management, with experience owning agency relationships
  • Proven track record of building new event programs that drive business impact
  • Strong collaboration abilities, including working with multiple executive stakeholders
  • Excellent budget and project management skills
  • Data-driven approach with a focus on KPIs and pipeline metrics
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce and Hubspot is a plus
