Research Billing and Collection Specialist - Not Remote

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Research Billing and Collection Specialist for our busy Central Business Office. This is not a remote position. The Research Billing and Collection Specialist will be responsible for the billing and collection of payments for services rendered through the Research Department.  Responsibilities will include following-up from billing through final resolution.   In addition, the Research Billing and Collection Specialist will assist the research supervisor and/or manager with any additional projects as requested. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: 

• Ability to verify that all required documentation is in place bill studies
• Ability to understand payment requirements and billing benchmarks for all open studies
• Ability to track all billed invoices and follow up with study sponsors in an organized fashion
• Ability to track and post receivables to appropriate patient accounts 
• To prepare required reports including A/R aging and month end reconciliations
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely fashion
• Answer A/R inquires and follow-up
• All other duties as assigned

Full-time Position, Monday – Friday

Education and Experience:

• Healthcare experience preferred
• Two (2) year AA Degree in Accounting
• Collection experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
