Job Description
As a Dental Billing Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of this dynamic dental practice. You’ll be at the helm of managing complex billing processes for both pediatric and orthodontic services, ensuring smooth financial operations and optimal patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced practice management software and expand your expertise in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Your skills will directly contribute to the practice’s success, allowing the clinical team to focus on delivering top-notch dental care.

Responsibilities

  • Process billing for both pediatric dental and orthodontic services
  • File insurance claims for orthodontic and pediatric dental procedures
  • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims
  • Input checks and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) into the practice management software
  • Consolidate financial data within the practice management system
  • Verify insurance policies if time permits

Requirements

  • Must have prior medical billing experience preferably in dental billing or orthodontic practices
  • Understanding of dental terminology and basic dental procedures is an advantage
  • Familiarity with orthodontic billing procedures
  • Knowledge of medical terms and general triage process
  • Proficiency in practice management software (experience with Ortho2 preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volume of claims
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Scope

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday : 9AM - 6PM Irvine, California
  • Wednesday : 10AM - 7PM Irvine, California
  • Includes 1hr unpaid break
