Job description

Join us as a QA Engineer (m/f/d) in our Routing team on a shared journey that matters!

About the team

The Routing team is building MOIA’s routing engine which constitutes an essential part of MOIA's business model. The system helps us to safely guide our ever-growing fleet of vehicles through cities and predict accurate travel times for our passengers.

To enable efficient routing, the team works with the MOIA customized map that serves as a key ingredient for the routing engine but also finds application in various geospatial use-cases and simulations inside MOIA. The importance of efficient and safe routing will grow over the next years, as MOIA starts moving an autonomous fleet on the streets. What a time to join!

What you will do
  • Own the quality of the product end-to-end, including participation in test drives inside autonomous vehicles
  • Test the integration of the system through cooperation with other MOIA teams and external partners
  • Identify, analyze and keep track of issues, owning the communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor and improve quality metrics and KPIs
  • Support our Product Owners and Tech Leads with risk-assessment during the discovery and design of new features
  • Improve the quality process, enable the team to implement our shift-left and shift-right principles and make them feel confident about releases
  • Support test automation and the improvement of debug tools, and promote a culture of quality
What will help you to fulfill your role
  • Technical Enthusiast: You have worked with highly technical teams, like backend and algorithm teams. You enjoy discussing complex technical challenges. You have a track record of releasing high-quality technical products - first contact with API testing is a plus!
  • Bug Tracker: You have solid experience with bug reports and root-cause analysis, as well as familiarity with analytics/monitoring tools (Grafana/Kibana/etc.) and a willingness to dig through logs to understand the system behavior
  • Shift-left Advocate: You have extensive experience with agile testing as a member of a cross-functional team, and a commitment to improving quality processes through the continuous application of the Shift-left Principle, Agile Testing Methodology and/or Modern Testing Principles.
  • Pragmatist: You get things done, make sound decisions and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent Communicator: People enjoy working with you because you communicate well and evoke optimism, even when you’re communicating complex information. You are experienced in adjusting your messaging to different stakeholders and inspire people by translating your in-depth domain expertise into clear and straightforward language. Plus, you are not afraid of asking a lot of questions to refine your understanding.
  • Mentor: You are passionate about sharing knowledge and mentoring others, as well as continuously learning together. You stay up to date on the latest testing trends and love spreading knowledge and coaching others.

We encourage you to apply even if your profile does not meet all the requirements for the role since we are looking for a diverse range of experiences, skills, and interests. We are certain that there will be something for everyone because we are working on such a variety of tasks and embrace individual growth at MOIA.
