Responsibilities:

Position Purpose:

StoneX is dedicated to delivering high-quality software solutions across various platforms. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies while gaining hands-on experience in software testing. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure that product specifications are accurately translated into effective test scenarios. Your contributions will support the identification of issues and facilitate improvements in software performance and reliability, all while fostering a culture of excellence in quality assurance.

 

Primary duties will include: 

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web/mobile/API testing using tools such as Playwright, Detox, and Postman. 
  • Collaborate with development and UI/UX teams to understand product requirements and translate them into test cases. 
  • Perform automated functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications using Playwright and Cucumber, with TypeScript as the programming language. 
  • Execute API and backend tests using gRPC tools, Postman, and Swagger to ensure functionality and performance. 
  • Create detailed test plans and reports to track issues, monitor test progress, and analyze results. 
  • Participate in code reviews, test case reviews, and contribute to QA best practices and standards. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, product management) to identify, record, and track bugs. 
  • Provide feedback to improve the quality, performance, and reliability of software systems. 
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in automation tools, frameworks, and testing methodologies. 
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals 
  • Familiarity with web automation tools such as Playwright and Cucumber
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or similar programming languages
  • Experience or understanding of API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, and gRPC
  • Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks like Detox is a plus
  • Basic understanding of software development and agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

 

Bonus Skills: 

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into workflows 
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git

Early Careers Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or masters degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and finishing university by August 2026 (entering penultimate year of university)
  • Available for a June/July 2025 start date for a 10-week program
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel)
  • Must be authorized to work in Poland for any employer  

 

Working environment 

  • Hybrid with minimum 3 days in the office
