About The role
Join us as an SAP Logistics and Commercial Team Lead at AstraZeneca, a world-leading Pharmaceutical company operating in over 100 countries. In this role, you will lead a team of functional consultants for a large SAP support and maintenance project, spanning several SAP landscapes across continents. With your broad functional knowledge in MM and/or SD and your experience leading teams, you will organize tasks and ensure their completion while fostering the development of your team.
The SAP Logistics & Commercial Team Lead will be accountable for:
- You will work closely with business technology groups, PMs, Architects and collaborate with Chennai counterparts to resolve any SAP issues reported by the business users and deliver all enhancements as required. You will manage workloads, participate in global capability meetings, review solutions designed by the team members, and proactively work with other IT/Business groups to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Ensuring compliance within the team in regards to the AZ ways of working and framework.
Requirements
Essential
- Functional understanding for their respective work stream (MM and or SD) and experience on configuration.
- Solid organizational skills and good problem-solving abilities.
- Experience leading people and advising the work of others.
- Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain related to O2C and P2P scenarios.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a functional consultant participating in incident and change management.
- Good understanding of standard integration with other systems for EDI/B2B (commercial) and logistics (3PL).
- Ability to translate requirements into high-level solutions into detailed functional specifications.
- Exposure to highly customized SAP environments and working on interfaces with Non-SAP systems.
- Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements. Should have working experience in a validated environment.
- Experience of various Estimation Techniques needed
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in English and Spanish. Good spoken and written skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience working in a globally distributed team and ability to manage conflicts
Desirable
- Additional Controlling submodules as Product Costing / Profitability Analysis
- Hands-on experience in other functional SAP core modules different than MM and or SD.
- Participation in full SAP implementations / Upgrades.
- SAP certification
- Abap (debugging)
- Specific country localizations (ie, Electronic Invoicing, Taxbra)
- PM / Lean Qualifications

📍 Location: Guadalajara (hybrid - Expectation of working in the office 3 days a week)
