The Commercialization Manager will oversee the management, coordination, and execution of all aspects of ongoing product commercialization efforts within Client Delivery Experience (CDE). This role leads the commercialization “go-to-market” team(s) and plans, organizes and controls all commercialization activities. This position is responsible for the communication, development of commercialization, and operationalization of Velera Products and Solutions and for alignment with Solution Sales in delivering Velera Solutions in the market. They will ensure that this business unit is supported and aligned to meet their overall business goals and objectives. Develop, influence, and implement a partner strategy that aligns with Product, Sales, and IT.  The role develops and oversees multiple implementation schedules, directing and tracking resources and combined tasks to ensure the successful delivery of products and the ability to onboard & implement new products & solutions. The Commercialization Manager works cross-functionally across all teams within the organization, external vendors, and Clients. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversees all communication to stakeholders indicating status and risks to ensure stakeholders are ready to sell, implement, and support the solution.
  • Oversees the development, coordination, planning, and implementation of new processes and procedures to create efficiencies, provide transparency, and deliver consistent product methodology.
  • Lead project governance processes and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, and success criteria and maintain project documentation.
  • Deliver leadership reporting and communication of project status, issues, risks, milestones, and key decisions made regarding project objectives and direction.
  • Facilitate the delivery of services among different product activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Continuous improvement of the process, driving the development, documentation, and implementation.
  • Escalate risks, issues, and dependencies and drive to resolution.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve issues and work cross-functionally to problem-solve timely.
  • Cross-functional collaboration, managing and holding team members accountable for delivering tasks on time.
  • Ensure commercialization activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Provide project management lifecycle processes to planning, organizing, and supervising the execution of projects that support the CDE business model.
  • Identify internal gaps impacting BU performance; Influence internal stakeholders to implement process improvements and processes to maximize partner performance and positive impact.
  • Accountable to be the decision-maker to avoid project roadblocks and meet company goals during the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as point of contact for presentations and negotiation of financial and resource commitments.
  • Accountable as the trusted escalation point for the CDE teams throughout the commercialization process and in general. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate discussions around the business strategy and requirements.
  • Communicate, manage, and act as the PDPO liaison with the product development/lifecycle.
  • Responsible for knowing and understanding the business unit's roadmap, and working to facilitate forward momentum while elevating roadblocks.
  • Provide strategic direction, prioritization, and alignment of resources to streamline the onboarding/implementation process.
  • Work with PDPO, Product, and IT to architect, design, prototype, and develop solutions that enable quality implementation and improve the speed of “onboarding” solutions.
  • Establish onboarding requirements and timelines in accordance with Solution Sales goals and market messaging.
  • Review, monitor, and report BU performance, and establish enterprise-wide delivery expectations. Responsible and accountable for corrective action and process improvements, collaborating with internal stakeholders at all levels.

Role Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or a minimum of eight years of product/project management and/or Client experience
  • Project Management Certification or related training/certification preferred (CX or Lean Six Sigma)

Experience

  • Eight (8) plus years of project management experience, or equivalent required. 
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Thorough knowledge of the financial services industry and related products and processes required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time.
  • Strong knowledge of product delivery lifecycles and processes.
  • Leadership skills, strong facilitation, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Experience/Exposure to large-scale IT projects. Exposure to all technical aspects of the department including the oversight, acquisition, and maintenance of systems software and hardware
  • Expert organizational, risk management, time management, and project management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the PLC process and the elements CDE is responsible for through the lifecycle
  • Comprehensive understanding of the PAC process for CDE and a complete understanding of the impact of the voting process
  • Competency to communicate CDE’s strategy and direction and to make decisions on allocating resources to attain strategic goals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work confidently and independently
  • Possess keen negotiation skills to influence decisions and the strategic goal
  • Ability to refine business strategies and make pivotal decisions that drive organizational success within all aspects of CDE
  • Ability to delegate tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Demonstrate swift problem-solving skills to manage conflict and devise creative solutions, quick thinking and adapting to situations
