Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Integrated Care Specialist with experience managing relationships in healthcare -or- in complex multi-level sales. This role requires someone who can effectively interact with and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the healthcare system, including upper administration. This is not just a point of contact sales role; it involves a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schedulers, behavioral health consultants, physicians, specialists, administrative team members, legal teams and quality assurance teams.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to identify and address behavioral health needs (including supporting outside referrals). 
  • Work with teams on changing policies to enhance referral processes and increase client engagement. 
  • Manage and negotiate Business Associate Agreements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to bring on new health systems and encourage referrals for therapy and medication management services across the state. 
  • Represent the organization in meetings and discussions with high-level stakeholders to promote our mental health services.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide physical presence to community partners in designated areas across Oregon.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy standards and regulations. 
  • Support the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects.
  • Conduct self with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the organization's efforts to create and maintain a trauma-informed care culture and utilize non-violent communication when navigating disagreements and conflicts.

  • Additional responsibilities of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preference within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and familiarity with healthcare systems preferred. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desired Skills
  • Proven ability to sell and drive referrals. 
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred not required.
  • Location: REMOTE! Priority will be given to applicants from Eugene, Salem, or Central Oregon.
  • Travel Requirement: This position requires up to 25% travel. Must be willing to travel to Eugene, Oregon and other Brightways offices throughout Central and Metro Oregon.
  • Licensed: N/A (Non-clinical role).
  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience with coordination of care.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with sales.
Background Check Requirement
  • A background check will be performed on all hires, post-offer. Employment is contingent upon passing this check.

  • Able to work effectively in an organizational setting and understand how to utilize the chain of command to resolve problems and bring program development ideas forward.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Insync or related software. 
  • Efficiency and time management skills. 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality requirements regarding patients.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive Compensation Base salary of $75,000, with bonus opportunities tied to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • (4) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year, pro-rated amount based on hire date.
