Job description

This will be a new hybrid assignment - 3 days on-site and 2 days remote

Lynx is seeking a highly skilled Systems/Business Analyst to join our clients' team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and documenting user needs to guide the development of systems that address those needs. The ideal candidate will analyze existing systems to identify user challenges and opportunities for reengineering, ensuring optimal solutions are implemented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify user issues with existing systems and explore reengineering opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Conduct problem assessments and develop alternative solutions.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis of various solutions to recommend the most effective approach.
  • Partner with programmers and development teams during design, development, and implementation phases to ensure user needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Communicate complex information effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide support throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to post-implementation review.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems/Business Analyst.
  • Proven expertise in identifying user problems, performing assessments, and developing practical solutions.
  • Strong background in conducting cost/benefit analysis of proposed solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to ensure user requirements are satisfied.
  • Proficiency in preparing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).


Requirements
Requirement Analysis:
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of integration requirements, including data formats, frequency of exchange, and system dependencies.
Solution Design:
  • Develop a comprehensive integration architecture to meet the unique needs of PeopleSoft, MTA Origami, and the third-party administrator’s system.
System Configuration:
  • Configure integration middleware or tools to establish effective communication channels, ensuring compatibility and smooth data migration.
Data Mapping and Transformation:
  • Define data mappings across systems and implement transformation rules to harmonize data formats and structures.
API Development:
  • Develop or leverage existing APIs to enable real-time data exchange between PeopleSoft, MTA Origami, and the Risk Management/Claims Management System.
Testing and Validation:
  • Conduct rigorous testing to ensure accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance under various scenarios and load conditions.
Deployment and Go-Live Support:
  • Coordinate deployment activities and provide go-live support to ensure minimal disruptions and successful user adoption.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
  • Implement monitoring tools to track integration performance, detect anomalies, and proactively address maintenance needs.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Provide training to internal teams for ongoing support and maintenance.
Technical Project Management Support:
  • Provide implementation and ongoing project management support to the Legal, Safety, and Risk IT group across platforms, including Origami and claims management tools.
