Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee mortgage origination processes and lead a team of mortgage loan officers.
  • Serve as a representative of the organization within the community to drive strategic growth in the Real Estate department.
  • Cultivate and nurture business relationships to enhance business flow to the Real Estate lending team.
  • Advocate for and support homeownership across various market segments.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and secondary market guidelines, including Fannie Mae and FHA/VA requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with members, staff, external vendors, and realtors, focusing on marketing, compliance, and training initiatives.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Quality Control, Compliance, and Mortgage Operations to fulfill departmental objectives.

Required Skills

  • Profound understanding of secondary market guidelines, including automated underwriting processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and negotiation abilities, with a proven track record of adaptability to changes in internal, market, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong networking capabilities to establish and develop meaningful business relationships.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and typing in English.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in mortgage origination and business development/sales is essential.
  • At least three years of leadership experience in managing and mentoring team members is required.
