Job Overview

Austin Powder Holdings Company is seeking a dedicated Financial Reporting Analyst to join our global finance team remotely. In this role, you will provide essential financial analysis and support, contributing significantly to the company's financial health and operational efficiency. You will report directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting, engaging in various projects that drive business profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reports from global subsidiaries prior to data uploads into consolidation software.
  • Conduct analytical tasks involving income statements and product-driven data at month-end.
  • Support the month-end closing process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements using OneStream consolidation software.
  • Prepare documentation for annual audits, including workpapers and footnotes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain visual data presentations for management review.
  • Contribute to advancements in our OneStream consolidation software across various functionalities.
  • Monitor capital expenditure projects against approved budgets, providing thorough analyses of proposed expenditures.
  • Manage highly confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Play an active role in financial analysis for board meetings and support M&A activities through due diligence and integration processes.
  • Assist in enhancing the reliability and timeliness of the company's financial statements and reporting requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience with various ERP systems and consolidation software.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and research abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; effective use of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information succinctly to management and peers.
  • Proven capability to foster effective working relationships with executives and team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with international entities is preferred.
