The Team and Role:

Logitech is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Device Simulator team. Our team is at the heart of software automation, providing an advanced emulation of various Logitech devices.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for enhancing the simulator with new features, ensuring appropriate object-oriented design and providing guidance through his code reviews.

  • Participate in the design, and development of our next generation software simulator for Logitech’s input peripherals using Python. 

  • Build a simulator that seamlessly impersonates Logitech devices in our Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Work with senior engineers to design and build the software interface used by the CI/CD test suites to interact with the simulator.

  • Write CI unit and automation tests as part of your development using Python and C++.

  • Work with various cross-functional teams:  QA Automation, Engineering, DevOps, and Firmware to drive forward development of new automation capabilities.

  • Participate and conduct technical reviews of system design and interface requirements and provide technical feedback and make recommendations.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • Strong development experience in Python on Windows or MacOS.

  • 6+ years engineering experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical field

  • Strong Object-Oriented Design and Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Test-Driven Development and pytest framework a plus.

  • Experience with GIT source control a plus.

  • Build, Install, DevOps experience is a plus.

  • Commercial experience developing software that interacts with hardware devices is a plus

  • Strong software design & development experience in C++ (11 and above) is a plus.

  • Experience interfacing with user mode drivers on Windows or MacOS a plus.
