Job Title: Senior Manager, Data Science

Location: Flexible/Remote (with potential office days in NYC, Tempe, or Los Angeles)

Compensation: \(174,400 to \)228,900 per year, plus comprehensive benefits, unlimited vacation, equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert business objectives into pragmatic strategies and actionable plans for the team.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate long-term strategies and development roadmaps.
  • Engage in technical and operational management responsibilities across the team.
  • Lead and supervise a small group of data scientists and/or analysts.
  • Foster collaboration with data and business management across various functions.
  • Guide the research, development, and upkeep of data pipelines, statistical models, and advanced analytical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 6 years of applicable experience in quantitative technical domains (including academia).
  • At least 4 years of proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
  • 4 or more years of experience in constructing data models utilizing advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data processing techniques.
  • Over 1 year of experience in a managerial role overseeing personnel.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative or technical discipline is preferred.
  • Experience within the healthcare, finance, and insurance sectors is an asset.
