As a Data Scientist, you will partner with project managers, strategists, and other members of the engineering team to aid clients in gaining deeper insights into their unique challenges and organization.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:Identifying data sets relevant to key research questions and performing statistical analyses to inform strategic decision-makingEffectively visualizing and communicating statistical findings to a variety of stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical audiencesIdentifying and communicating opportunities for improving the overall product or data ecosystemCollaborating with client teams of various makeups and reporting project status to the internal KUNGFU.AI teamWorking within an AI-focused context, which requires a growth mindsetProviding occasional cross-disciplinary support for machine learning engineers (and vice versa)What we’re looking for:Deep understanding of applied statistics and product analyticsAbility to derive well-articulated hypotheses, execute appropriate statistical tests, and interpret the results for a non-statistical audienceAdept at leveraging data and experimental methods to divine the true nature of business phenomena such as price elasticity, customer behavior, risk, fraud, process performanceFamiliarity and exposure to various machine learning models - we do a lot of prototyping and evaluatingA demonstrated ability to quickly adopt new tools, algorithms, and analysis techniquesA working competency in python as well as experience with common data science tooling (e.g. jupyter, git, SQL, matplotlib, AWS EC2, to name a few)Experience in an environment that is doing regular causal inference, A/B testing or experimental designDeep intuitions when navigating complex client environments while maintaining a high bar for client serviceExperience with one or more specialized analytical domains like causal modeling, power analysis or econometricsA deeply collaborative nature that complements multidisciplinary project teamsExperience with the Scientific Method and applying it to solve business problems Experience with storytelling using data visualization. We don’t really care which tool you use, just that you have done this beforeMore on the storytelling piece - we want someone who has experience presenting technical approaches and findings to a range of technical and non-technical audiences, so we need someone with excellent written communication skillsDemonstrated professional experience working all the way from identifying data for a specific problem set, selecting appropriate solutions, and presenting the findings of those solutions.
