Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Professional Services Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of client-oriented projects within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) technology sector. This remote position requires effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, offering leadership and direction to project teams to meet client goals. You will be instrumental in managing multiple projects, improving client satisfaction, and fostering continuous enhancement within our professional services division, while also taking charge of internal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that encompass resource allocation, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining transparent communication and managing expectations effectively.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and financial outcomes, identifying risks and opportunities to deliver projects within fiscal constraints.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to ensure all members are aligned with project objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies, resolving issues promptly to avoid project delays.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance practices across all project phases.
  • Coordinate and secure signoff from key stakeholders at critical project checkpoints.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings with stakeholders to establish project scope and objectives.
  • Oversee client communications during HRIS deployments, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to translate client requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Work in partnership with project managers and technical personnel from software vendors to ensure an optimal client experience.
  • Track project progress and adjust resources and timelines as necessary.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and prepare reports for clients and senior leadership.
  • Manage change processes, effectively communicating and managing any adjustments in scope, budget, or timeline.
  • Facilitate meetings including client reviews, internal discussions, and post-project evaluations.
  • Engage closely with sales and technical teams to ensure all project requirements are understood and met.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience managing large and complex projects with diverse teams and multiple stakeholders, particularly in HR and IT settings.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience within professional services, consulting, or comparable environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycor, Paylocity, ADP, Workday, UKG, Kronos, SuccessFactors) and project management methodologies.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously, each presenting varying degrees of complexity.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Office, Asana, Monday.com).
