Job description

About Infinite Lambda

Infinite Lambda is Europe's fastest-growing data and cloud engineering consultancy. We help leading companies become data-first with agile, cloud-based solutions and cutting-edge technology practices.

We are a London-based company with teams in France, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Italy and Vietnam. Join our team of data, analytics, DevOps, data science and machine learning experts.

Please note we do not offer visa sponsorship.

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager at Infinite Lambda you will be responsible for the end-2-end delivery of projects for our most important clients, working with teams from both IL and the client. You will be in charge of the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring and closure. You will work closely with both engineers and business stakeholders to ensure the projects deliver value and meet business objectives.

As a Consultant, you will be expected to provide expertise and advice to your clients and support an Account Manager to build an ongoing relationship with the client and identify future project opportunities.

In delivering your projects you will need to follow either Waterfall or Agile methodologies (or a combination of both), create and maintain appropriate project documentation (such as RAID Logs, RACI matrix, Gantt charts etc), lead ceremonies (such as standups, retrospectives, client presentations etc), ensure there is a sufficient and well refined backlog of work, manage change requests  and ensure an appropriate level of stakeholder communication.

You will need to understand the project's commercial structure and be able to protect the project against scope creep and other delays and issues, escalating as appropriate and providing alternative solutions to recover projects as required.

You will be a leader on the project, along with a Technical Lead, and must maintain a safe and congenial working environment for your team, where happiness and professional growth are the norm.

  • Working Hours:
    UK time zone, preferably 9-5.

  • Location:
    EU-based, ideally in countries where we already have teams - Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, France, Italy, or the UK (if within our compensation budget).

  • Onboarding Timeline:
    Expected start in early January 2025. No earlier start due to handover workload and holiday schedules.

Responsibilities
  • You will manage the project delivery using Agile or Waterfall methodologies (depending on the best fit with the client)

  • You will work with professionals from engineering and business teams to deliver projects, earning their trust and getting 360-degree feedback on feasibility and plans;

  • You will inspire your team through your servant leadership style, helping the project team and client to become ever more flexible and responsive;

  • You will develop and maintain clear project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • You will proactively identify risks and remove roadblocks, helping the team to find the pathway to excellence that earns the admiration and respect of your clients;

  • You will track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders regularly through reports and presentations;

  • You will report to the Delivery Excellence group, ensuring two-way communication is always in place.

  • You will conduct project reviews and identify areas for improvement;

  • You will own the delivery schedule and establish governance processes that help your team stay on track;

  • You are a natural entrepreneur, which drives you to see opportunities that empower your clients’ business strategies through data and bring in more business through close interaction with Account Managers;

  • You will have your fingers on the pulse of the myriad activities under your control, switching context fluidly from one project to the next to help your teams be autonomous and empowered.
