We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Catering Sales Manager to enhance our team. This critical position entails securing and managing catering business while striving to exceed revenue expectations. The successful candidate will navigate the entire sales process, from lead generation to client relationship management, ensuring flawless execution of events that lead to guest satisfaction and repeat clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to incoming leads while proactively seeking new catering business opportunities.
  • Conduct site visits to facilitate the conversion of potential business into confirmed bookings.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all catering events from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Meetings and Events to strategize annual catering sales initiatives.
  • Partner with the Brand and Public Relations Team to amplify our online presence.
  • Optimize space allocation to maximize revenue potential.
  • Work alongside the Culinary and Food & Beverage Team to design customized menus.
  • Ensure distribution of all essential documentation to relevant hotel departments.
  • Schedule and manage pre- and post-convention meetings as necessary.
  • Encourage repeat business by discussing future event plans with clients.
  • Collect client feedback through the Meeting Planner Survey.
  • Ensure all credit and billing processes are fulfilled accurately.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the Director of Meetings and Events.
  • Participate in all relevant meetings, including staff, departmental, and BEO meetings.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong aptitude for relationship building.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
  • A creative mindset with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Delphi is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of experience in sales, event management, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality sector.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations is essential.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
