Description

As the organiser of some of the biggest and most iconic sport events in the world, we lead the way in the sport and event industry.

The Services Subdivision within FIFA Event Operations Division is seeking an experienced and

highly-organised Freelance PMO (Portfolio Management Office) Platform Manager to assist in the further design development and set-up of its collaboration and work management system (including project management) tool, Monday.com. The freelance role will initially be offered on a three-month project basis, with the potential for longer-term collaboration depending on performance and business requirements. Services is a sub-division of Event Operations Division of FIFA and consists of 8 functional areas: Guest Management, Travel, Transport, Accommodation, Logistics, Workforce, Volunteers and Central Services PMO.

THE POSITION

These Are Your Key Tasks

Monday.com Services Platform & Workspace Development

  • Peer review of existing Services Monday.com framework & content with recommendations to adapt and improve
  • Develop comprehensive event blueprint templates which allow users to capture project related tasks and data including timelines, resource requirements, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
  • Coordinate with departmental leads to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables
  • Monitor project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to accommodate changes and resolve any issues
  • Develop workflows and system templates in line with business requirements identified by the Functional Area Heads
  • Create comprehensive training materials, guidelines and sessions for team members using Monday.com

Portfolio Management

  • Oversee the development and management of real-time dashboards to support the efficient oversight of both Tournaments & Events and business-related (non-event) projects at a portfolio level
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that the work management system and templates support the requirements of the business to successful deliver all projects.

Process Improvement

  • Identify, assess, and manage project-related risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution
  • Proactively monitor potential roadblocks and propose solutions to mitigate risks
  • Support continuous improvements in process efficiency and project management capabilities across the portfolio of projects

Reporting & Analysis

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into project progress, resource allocation, and overall portfolio health
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making

The Specific Competencies We Require For This Position Are

  • Extensive, proven experience with Monday.com, including advanced configurations, automation's, and integrations
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the sports or events sector, with a focus on large-scale, complex events
  • Experience in process improvement and change management is highly desirable
  • Experience in training and supporting teams in the adoption of new tools and technologies
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work, influence and communicate in a corporate and project-focused organisation
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a problem-solving aptitude is essential.
  • The ability to work within a fast paced ever changing environment.
  • Ability to understand the wider picture and proactively integrate different stakeholders across a range of cultures
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
