Job description

This is a remote position.

Work Schedule:  Working hours will be AEST (Brisbane time) 9.00am – 5.30pm (30minutes lunch in between) Australian business hours

About the Role:

Join our growing team as a Senior Accountant specializing in Australian accounting and taxation. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional responsible for analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive financial statements.


Essential Duties:
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Process end-to-month journals and prepare financial reports
  • Handle superannuation, leave entitlements, and payroll tax management
  • Oversee payroll processing through Xero accounting software
  • Manage STP, WorkCover, and end-of-month reporting



Requirements
  • Experience working in an Australian-based accounting firm
  • Proficiency in end-to-end monthly payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Xero accounting software
