Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Adjunct English Instructor to join our esteemed faculty in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the academic journey of students by delivering a high-caliber curriculum and engaging instruction tailored to your assigned courses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively deliver course content in accordance with the established syllabus, ensuring instructional delivery at least once a week.
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty members and the department head to actively participate in curriculum development, enhancing the educational experience within your area of specialization.
  • Assess and evaluate students' comprehension of course material, providing constructive feedback and guidance to foster their academic growth.
  • Uphold attendance policies and meticulously maintain accurate records of student grades, ensuring timely submission through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Maintain regular office hours, available for student interaction either in person or via video conferencing, as stipulated in the Faculty Handbook, with clear postings in the LMS.
  • Respond to communications from students and colleagues within 48 business hours, allocating one day each week for sabbath observance, as communicated in the LMS.
  • Ensure reliable internet access for seamless video conferencing and online instruction.

  • Experience in managing student communications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Familiarity with online and on-campus instruction methodologies.

Qualifications

  • A terminal degree in a relevant field, or at least a Master's degree for Bachelor's programs, or a Bachelor's degree for certificate programs.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of five years of verifiable experience in a pertinent field, such as instruction, performance, or industry expertise.
  • A strong commitment to teaching that reflects core values and faith principles.
