Job description

Capgemini Engineering a world leader in engineering is looking for a Java Support Engineer !

Requirements

  • 6+ years’ of extensive experience in handling Java/SpringBoot/Webservices based applications with object-oriented analysis and design, Splunk Dashboard creation, AWS/ Azure deployments, AppDynamics monitoring and dashboard creation.
  • Advanced skill in Atlassian Confluence for technical document creation and update.
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills and advanced ability to research, analyze and recommend improvements to the application performance.
  • Work on New Application Enhancements, Defect fixes for Enterprise Business applications based on Client and Business partners requests on current application functionality.
  • Write well designed, efficient code and ensure design follows standard specifications provided.
  • Support continuous improvements by investigating alternatives and technologies that can be implemented to improve the current application functionalities.
  • Experienced in ServiceNow for Incident, Problem and Change Management process.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently as well as part of a core team.
  • Strong ability to initiate and manage production support calls and co-ordinate with stakeholders in the call.
  • Good experience on Database: Oracle / MSSQL DB
  • Quick adaptability to new technologies and tools
  • Must have skills related to Production support, Deployment activities.
  • Exposure to deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and other CICD tools
  • Work with software vendor to have application issues fixed, both short term and long term (root cause)
  • Flexible working in shift hours if required during P1/P2 incidents
  • Good to have experience with Agile methodologies, Jira is a big plus.
