About the Role:

Location: Remote (Based in LATAM or Philippines)

A Lead Video Editor's Assistant supports the lead video editor in the post-production process, ensuring that videos meet creative and technical standards. Here’s an outline of key responsibilities and skills for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Footage Organization: Assisting in importing, organizing, and categorizing raw footage into folders or bins based on scenes, shots, or projects, making it easily accessible for the lead editor.
  • Basic Editing: Performing preliminary editing tasks such as trimming clips, assembling rough cuts, and arranging footage according to the script or storyboard.
  • Synchronizing Audio and Video: Syncing audio tracks with video footage, especially when separate recordings for sound and video are used.
  • File Management: Managing project files, ensuring proper naming conventions, and keeping backups of important footage and final edits.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Communicating with producers, directors, and other team members to ensure that the video aligns with the project’s vision.
  • Review and Feedback: Assisting in reviewing rough cuts, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and making basic revisions before passing them to the lead editor.
  • Asset Management: Ensuring that video assets (music, graphics, stock footage) are properly sourced, organized, and licensed.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Editing Software: Knowledge of software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision when working on frame-level edits, syncing audio, or making transitions.
