Job description

This is a remote position.

The Business Data Migration Expert for Supply Chain will support a global pharmaceutical client's ERP program by ensuring data is delivered according to global, deployment, and country-specific requirements and timelines. The role involves managing data migration activities at an above-country level, focusing on data objects like Material Master, Inventories, and Batch Master. The expert will act as the functional point of contact (SPoC) for data migration during releases.

  • Ensure data cleansing tasks are completed on time.
  • Manage data collection for manual and constructed objects.
  • Collaborate with IT counterparts to prepare value mappings.
  • Create and maintain master lists for assigned objects where applicable.
  • Provide business insights to technical teams for data extraction and conversion from legacy systems.
  • Work closely with IT teams and country Business Data Owners to identify in-scope objects for the country.
  • Verify data quality and readiness throughout the data migration journey for assigned objects.
  • Ensure data is fit for purpose, aligning with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Approve upload files before and after data loads for assigned objects.
  • Perform manual data loads into target clients where necessary.
  • Conduct dual maintenance activities.
  • Execute and approve data verification scripts.
  • Act as the SPoC for assigned objects during the defect management process in Hypercare.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Completion of data cleansing for relevant data objects according to the migration schedule.
  • Timely completion of data loads within the region.
  • Resolution of major data quality issues according to the project timeline.


Requirements
Ideal Background

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.

Languages

  • Fluent English (additional languages are a plus).

Experience

  • 5+ years in country and global roles (SAP project implementation experience preferred).

Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage meetings, track progress, and address issues.
  • Proficiency in Excel.

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SAP business processes in Material Management, Supply Chain, and Quality, with good visibility into Production Planning.
  • Data migration experience preferred.
