About this role

We're partnering with a leading telecoms organisation to replace their legacy threat-hunting platform with Elastic, enhancing efficiency and speed while processing 90TB of data daily. We're seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to streamline our Elasticsearch deployment and management processes using Kubernetes, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable operations.

Your Responsibilities

As our DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our large-scale Elasticsearch deployment on Kubernetes. You'll develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable updates to our Elasticsearch clusters. Your role will involve implementing security best practices for our Kubernetes environments, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining compliance standards. You'll also work on automating the configuration and management of Elasticsearch clusters, optimising performance and resource utilisation in our high-volume data environment.

About You

Extensive experience with DevOps practices and tools, particularly CI/CD pipelines and containerisation
Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and operations in large-scale environments
In-depth knowledge of security best practices for Kubernetes, especially in the context of handling sensitive data
Proven ability to automate deployment, configuration, and management of Elasticsearch clusters on Kubernetes
Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes and Elasticsearch
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting in Kubernetes environments
Relevant certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications) are advantageous
