Your responsibilities:

Operating and optimizing our data-intensive infrastructure

• Working closely with your team, you will foster a high performance, collaborative working environment that emphasizes continuous improvement.
• You will ensure the smooth and efficient application deployment and operation by working closely with the applications and data teams.
• You will develop and build a highly automated infrastructure using IAC and GitOps practices to ensure high availability, scalability, cost efficiency and security.
• Performing infrastructure maintenance duties, troubleshooting and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Implement and manage infrastructure logging and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability, performance and efficient issue resolution.
• Ensure the correct selection of AWS services and architecture through the assessment, planning and execution of the migration phases of on-premises Sovendus applications to AWS.
• In collaboration with the team, you will take ownership and responsibility for the Sovendus platform.
• Additionally, you will be a mentor to junior DevOps engineers and support them in their development.

Your profile:

Strong team player with deep DevOps engineering experience

• You have several years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• AWS services (VPC, IAM, EKS, EC2, RDS, S3) and cloud-based network configurations are your daily business, including understanding AWS cloud network setup in multi-account environments.
• Your deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is evident through your proficiency with tools like Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Additionally, you bring proven expertise in container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• You're familiar with continuous integration and deployment tools (GitLab CI), monitoring and logging tools (AWS CloudWatch, Fluent Bit, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python aid in your infrastructure automation and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge in implementing cloud security practices (IAM policies, VPC configurations, data encryption, etc.) rounds out your technical expertise.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills enable you to work effectively with team members.
• Experience in MySQL, Apache Kafka, and Redis is a plus.
