Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in court for routine hearings, bond matters, plea negotiations, and status conferences.
  • Draft compelling legal documents, including pretrial intervention requests, grand jury packets, and appellate briefs.
  • Manage cases independently, while seeking guidance from the supervising attorney as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough client consultations, communicate plea offers, and provide informed legal counsel.
  • Engage with prospective clients through phone, Zoom, and occasional in-person meetings, transforming leads into long-term relationships.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training, coaching sessions, and team meetings, contributing to our collective growth.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage cases with a significant degree of autonomy.
  • Proficient in drafting persuasive legal documents relevant to criminal law.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in criminal law, encompassing both prosecution and defense.
  • Willingness to make court appearances throughout Texas.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
