Role Summary

Our Emerging Business practice is on the lookout for a dedicated Account Manager. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the placement, renewal, and servicing of both new and existing business accounts. Acting as a representative of our firm, you will leverage your technical proficiency and market insights to facilitate discussions with Account Executives and clients, collaborating closely to drive strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a designated book of business generating revenue of at least $1,000,000 or an appropriate blend of revenue and complexity.
  • Maintain awareness of coverage options and market trends relevant to your portfolio and articulate this information effectively to clients.
  • Collaborate with Account Assistants, Account Coordinators, and Account Executives, partnering with Producers as needed.
  • Create and present client deliverables, while actively participating in planning activities.
  • Successfully manage multiple clients in accordance with P&C practice service standards to ensure retention.
  • Lead the Marketing and/or Renewal process, which includes gathering necessary information from markets and clients, evaluating client coverage documents, developing specifications, securing quotes, and negotiating terms to provide informed recommendations.
  • Engage in strategic account overviews, obtaining information from markets and clients, and reviewing documentation pertinent to client needs.
  • Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
  • Perform timely policy and contract reviews, clearly conveying details to clients both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate expertise in marketing and cross-selling additional coverage lines, involving colleagues as necessary for challenging issues or to showcase enhanced capabilities.

  • Proficient in managing client relationships, ensuring needs and expectations are met in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interpreting complex information for both clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to build professional relationships in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Proactive in resolving obstacles and identifying suitable solutions to client concerns.
  • Willingness to mentor junior staff, serving as a positive role model and nurturing team spirit.

Qualifications

  • A college degree is preferred, though candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of five years of industry experience is required, with a preference for backgrounds in Technology & Life Sciences.
  • Familiarity with Property, Casualty, Cyber, and Management Liability Lines is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.
  • Experience with EPIC is an advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills; capacity to multitask and adapt as priorities evolve.
  • A Fire & Casualty license is required.
  • Candidates must obtain the necessary insurance license(s) within 90 days of hire.
  • A valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory, along with the ability to travel as required.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Anticipated salary range: \(75,750.00 - \)126,250.00, influenced by geographical location, experience, and expertise.
  • Eligible for an incentive program aimed at earning additional compensation equivalent to 8% of salary on an annual basis, contingent upon individual and Company performance.
