Job description

Job Summary:

The HR Associate manages the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. The role involves developing and implementing HR policies and programs to support the organization's objectives while ensuring compliance with labor regulations. The HR Associate will work closely with leadership and department heads to align HR strategies with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.

  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.

  • Build relationships with recruitment agencies, job portals, and educational institutions.

  • Work with Recruiters in North American Regions and hire the right candidates.

  • Employee Relations:

    • Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts fairly and consistently.

    • Promote positive workplace culture and improve employee engagement and morale.

    • Conduct exit interviews to understand employee turnover and provide feedback to management.

    • Build and maintain good relationships with employees working in North American regions.

  • Compliance & Labor Law:

    • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and other statutory requirements.

    • Keep up-to-date with changes in labor regulations and ensure timely implementation of any new legal requirements.

    • Work with external legal consultants regarding labor laws and regulations. 

  • Performance Management:

    • Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely feedback and goal setting.

    • Develop and implement performance improvement plans where necessary.

    • Work with managers to identify training and development needs.



    1. HR Policies & Procedures:

    • Develop and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with laws.

    • Communicate and implement HR policies across the organization.

    • Maintain employee records and manage HR documentation.

  • Training & Development:

    • Identify employee training needs and coordinate relevant training programs.


    Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

    • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with at least two years in a managerial position.

    • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, HR best practices, and employee management systems (HRIS).

    • Skills:

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

      • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

      • Organizational and time-management skills.

      • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

      • Proficient in Google Workspace and HR management software, preferably Zoho Recruit & People. 


    Location: Remote from Kochi, Kerala.

    Work Hours: 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST- Monday through Friday


    Employment Type: Part-Time


    Remuneration- Based on Experience.



    Requirements

    Job Requirements 

    1. Education:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    2. Experience:

      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR roles.
      • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory HR capacity.
      • Experience managing HR processes across multiple regions, particularly North America and India.
    3. Knowledge:

      • Comprehensive understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.
      • Familiarity with HR best practices, employee relations, and talent management.
      • Experience with HR information systems (HRIS), preferably Zoho Recruit & People.
      • Awareness of North American labor practices and recruitment strategies is a plus.
    4. Skills:

      • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
      • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve conflicts and handle employee grievances effectively.
      • Interpersonal: Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with employees and leadership.
      • Organizational: Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
      • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace and HR management tools (especially Zoho Recruit & People).
    5. Compliance Knowledge:

      • Up-to-date knowledge of Indian labor laws and experience implementing legal requirements.
      • Experience working with external legal consultants on labor law matters is desirable.
    6. Performance Management:

      • Demonstrated experience in managing performance reviews, developing improvement plans, and identifying training needs.
    7. Cultural Fit:

      • Ability to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
      • Experience working in or managing teams across diverse geographical locations, especially North America and India.
    8. Availability:

      • Ability to work remotely during the required work hours: 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST, Monday through Friday.
    9. Location:

      • Must be based in or able to work remotely from Kochi, Kerala.
    10. Additional Considerations:

      • Previous experience working with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and job portals is a plus.
      • Experience in remote work environments and managing geographically dispersed teams is advantageous.
