Key Responsibilities:

Operate valves to regulate the flow of material at a specified rate
Signal the paving machine operator to start and stop.
Observe the distribution of material over road surfaces to ensure uniform distribution.
Using depth gauge, verify depth specifications of the compacted asphalt.
Perform daily maintenance on tools and ensure all tools are stored properly at the end of each shift.
Assist in the general operation of each job site, including:
Installing/removing auto paving electronics
Adding/removing screed extensions
Cleaning excess asphalt off the paver
Daily preventative maintenance of paver
