Software Quality Assurance Tester
The Opportunity:
When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced quality assurance analyst who knows how to thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.
As a quality assurance expert, you’ll work with analysts, testers, developers, and engineers on a team that evaluates developed systems for the Air Force. You’ll develop and implement a test plan based on requirements, functional specifications, and design specifications.
Using requirements analysis and software quality assurance, you’ll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You’ll expand upon your experience in various types of testing, including manual, automation, performance, accessibility, usability, user acceptance testing, and testing process improvement. This is an opportunity to broaden your skills in documenting and solving system deficiencies as well as leading and mentoring others. You Have:
5+ years of experience testing software
5+ years of experience designing test cases for software
Experience using Jira
Knowledge of test automation tools
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience testing Appian software
Experience developing testing processes and procedures
Knowledge of Air Force testing standards
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
