Overview:

JOB TITLE: Lead Compliance Analyst 

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DOJ LESIS (Law Enforcement Services & Information Sharing)

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ LESIS

LOCATION: Remote

POSITION TIMING: Position requires DOJ Public Trust clearance; candidate can start once complete (2-4 weeks)

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as compliance analyst, monitoring and managing work of contractor audit staff.
  • Conducts security policy and system specific compliance audits of user agencies during a 3-year audit cycle.
  • Reviews and assess security questionnaires, and “Evidence of Compliance” documents, and other audit related polices and guidance on a yearly basis.
  • Gathers and analyzes user agency consumption and use of program systems through system reports and service leads.
  • Prepares and present Audit Findings and Ratings Reports.
  • Reviews, monitors, and manages Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) corrective action plans; collects, analyzes, and reports metrics to service owner and program stakeholders. via tracked POAM.
  • Creates, and manages, and reviews user accounts and audit questionnaires in Audit Tool.
  • Creates and manages audit questionnaires to reflect updated Security Policy and system updates. (moved this bullet up from below)
  • Coordinates and facilitates meetings with service owner, program stakeholders and user agency customers to manage the audit and compliances processes, and report audit results.
  • Manages remedial plans to Audit Findings.
  • Develops, updates and reviews Audit policy, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and Audit Tool “How to Guides”, job aids, and other related public facing documents for Auditors and user agencies.
  • Coordinates and meets with user agencies to assist with the audit process.
  • Manages and monitors the audit status of user agencies.
  • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge regarding all changes to DOJ, FBI and other related Policy and system specific manuals and how it impacts audit requirements.
  • Develops, maintains, and presents briefings and project schedules to program management team on the status of user agency audits and projects.
Qualifications:
  • Seven plus (7+) years audit IT experience, preferably auditing IT and Federal security controls and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Experience conducting security reviews and audits.
  • Experience creating audit reports.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting audit/program metrics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to write policy and technical-related documents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, business administration, or similar.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to obtain a DOJ public trust clearance; candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer's Current clearance is not required, but selected individual cannot start the assignment until the required security clearance is granted by the customer.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
