Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Program Portfolio Manager within our Eastern Canada Residential Energy Efficiency Portfolio. In this role you will be a strategic leader to oversee and improve our operations, call centre, finance, and system teams. You'll collaborate with program managers and clients to drive results and provide valuable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

If you have a strong background in energy efficiency, program management, and stakeholder engagement, you can help us reduce energy consumption and costs for income-qualified households.

This role is based in Ontario, ideally in the GTA. While primarily remote, you’ll need to attend client and industry events in Ontario and visit our Toronto head office 1-2 times per month, with travel expenses covered.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

  • Oversee all phases of client programs, ensuring energy savings goals and customer satisfaction are achieved.

  • Work with utility partners, internal teams, and peers to ensure program success and alignment.

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage changes, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand program reach, impact, and scalability.

  • Manage program budgets, forecast financials, and report performance to stakeholders.

  • Lead a team of 30-50, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Serve as the primary client contact, leading reviews on cost, schedule, and performance.

  • Set milestones, monitor progress, and address program issues by reallocating resources or adjusting contracts.

  • Implement evaluation processes to measure effectiveness and identify improvements.

  • Lead initiatives to improve processes and tools for better program delivery.

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).

  • 9+ years of project management experience, including 6+ years in people management.

  • Strong leadership, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • P&L management experience.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting; Excel (Macros and Power Query), Power BI, and Salesforce preferred.

  • Must be adaptable and flexible.

  • In-depth knowledge of house-as-a-system and best practices.

  • Experience with utility companies and program design.
