Position Overview 

 

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's invoicing, collections, and overall cash flow. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team to ensure timely payments from clients and maintain customer relationships. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices, managing the collections process.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
  • Work closely with the finance team to maintain up-to-date records of accounts receivable transactions.
  • Communicate with customers to address billing questions and ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare and analyze AR aging reports and assist with monthly close activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Assist with implementing improvements in the AR process to streamline operations and improve collections.

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting roles, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong understanding of AR processes and systems.
  • Proficiency with billing and accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and handle multiple priorities.
