Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in the pricing and bidding process for Medicare Advantage plans. This fully remote position is ideal for a candidate with extensive experience in healthcare actuarial work, particularly in Medicare Advantage. You will be responsible for developing actuarial models, analyzing data, and providing strategic insights to enhance plan performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actuarial Modeling: Develop and maintain actuarial models to support pricing and bid processes for Medicare Advantage plans.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting plan performance.
  • Bid Process: Prepare Medicare Advantage bids, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Adjustment: Apply risk adjustment methodologies to provide accurate pricing and forecasting.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement competitive pricing strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pricing models and bid submissions comply with Medicare Advantage regulations.
Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of at least 4 exams towards the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
  • 5+ years of healthcare actuarial experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an actuarial role.
  • Proficiency in writing queries in SQL or other programming languages.

Preferred:

  • ASA designation (Associate of the Society of Actuaries).
  • Fellow or Associate in the Society of Actuaries (FSA or ASA).
  • 2+ years of experience in Medicare Advantage pricing and bidding.
