Job description

Our senior attorney position provides advice and counsel on a variety of matters, including close consultation with the HR team on labor and employment issues.

*Due to the nature of this work, the successful candidate must be located in the US Central Time Zone and be available for travel when necessary to Acxiom offices in Conway, Arkansas or New York City.

Areas of responsibility include:

Employment related legal questions, associate relations matters (including investigations and dispute resolution), Fair Labor Standards Act classifications, third-party services contracts and various aspects of compliance with federal, state or local employment laws.

You will be responsible for:

• Advising management and HR on pre-employment and post-employment legal matters

• Advising management and HR on legal aspects of associate relations matters

• Leading the investigation and resolution of associate relations complaints

• Drafting and negotiating various third-party service contracts

• Advising on some aspects of client contract negotiation

• Advising on various employment-related compliance matters, including responses to regulators

• Dispute resolution, litigation management, and document production

Do you have?

• Juris Doctorate (JD)

• License in good standing to practice law

• 5+ years of related work experience

• Tenacity for getting things accomplished, with the appropriate level and sense of urgency

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization and decision-making skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex issues for review by business leaders

What will set you apart:

• 5+ years’ experience as an attorney, including labor and employment matters

• Experience with OFCCP compliance

• Experience with legal matters outside the United States
