The Strategic Account Executive - Alt Site is responsible for ensuring market presence, increase sales and revenue growth within large strategic accounts within the Alternate Site. Facilitate and develop business activities within the assigned account responsibilities and target segments. The focus will be to contribute to and achieve specific sales objectives, both tactical and strategic. Success will be demonstrated by the ability to achieve sales goals, execute purchase agreements/contracts, support sales strategies within target alternate site segments.

This position is part of the Canada Sales Team and will be located in Canada, remote. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive National/Strategic account management through identification, analysis, and prioritization of national/regional strategic accounts as assigned, including the evaluation of competitive activity, identification of key opportunities, and development of account objectives and collaborative implementation. Achieve sales goals by partnering with field sales teams in closing new and incremental business.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships between Cepheid and accounts by maintaining close interaction with senior management and executives, both internal and external. Establish company and products credibility at executive levels including, but not limited to: Long Term Care, Urgent Care, Student Health, Pediatric, Pharmacy
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with manager – emphasis on customer creation, negotiation, execution, and management of legal agreements/contracts at regional & national levels. Organize product demos, webinars, symposiums and workshops with both customers and distribution channel partners. Report results, ongoing issues, market insights, strategies, tactics, feedback to peers and management. Devise & communicate programs to Strategic Accounts and sales implementation upon marketing approvals prior to launch.
  • Develop and support proposed pricing, contracting and marketing business initiatives in order to solve marketplace/customer problems while managing Cepheid’s financial and legal exposure.
  • Lead, consult and collaborate with multi-level, cross-functional teams both internal and external on developing business strategies for business development, marketing, promoting and selling of Cepheid products. Engage Cepheid leadership in VIP business development meetings with Strategic Customer Groups. Mentor Territory Sales Executives. Other Duties as assigned.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with previous experience in sales, sales management, or marketing experience.
  • Strategic account management experience preferred. A significant portion of time is required in the development of one’s corporate account strategy and/or presence.
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, within Canada
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $150,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
