Our Edge Platform team takes ownership for planning, building, maintaining, and operating our global platform. We design, develop and deploy critical technologies including the hardware, software and network infrastructure that provide the technical underpinnings for all of Akamai's products. Our team ensures consistent availability and performance for our customers

Partner with the best

You will be fulfilling requirements in all stages of the supply chain cycle. By collaborating with Manufacturers, 3PLs, Carriers, Repair Vendors, and Network members. You will be managing the distribution activities for Akamai's network equipment in the assigned region.

As a Logistics Analyst II, you will be responsible for-

  • Taking ownership for timely and accurate Order Fulfillment of equipment and parts to support Akamai's global network
  • Working with international and domestic vendors (3PLs, Carriers, Manufacturers, etc.) to ensure swift delivery of equipment requested on orders
  • Preparing import and export documentation in accordance with established procedures and guidelines and resolve standard customs issues
  • Managing distribution for semi-broker countries (complex regions, sensitive regions, emerging countries)
  • Comparing freight quotes from multiple carriers, factoring all miscellaneous charges before making final selection
  • Monitoring equipment inventories, flagging inventory discrepancies, correcting and communicating activity to various internal teams

To be successful in this role you will-

  • Have 5 years of relevant experience in a similar roles and Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Have understanding of international shipping, regional customs regulations, import and export documentation
  • Have ability to perform highly detailed work
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in business English. Proficiency in Portuguese is highly valued for this role.
  • Be a good team player, enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others
  • Be self-motivated, highly responsible and have good communication skills
