Remote Specialist in Medical Billing | WFH

Job Overview

We are in search of a committed and skilled Independent Contractor to join our team as a Medical Billing Specialist, focusing on Oral Surgery, Orofacial Pain, Dental Sleep, and Medicare billing. This position enables you to leverage your extensive knowledge of medical billing software while working remotely from your own compliant computer.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and submit accurate claims with the necessary modifiers to insurance companies, utilizing both electronic systems and the 1500 form.
• Verify insurance payments for adherence to provider contracts and patient benefits.
• Engage in collection efforts by liaising with clients and insurance entities through phone and digital communication.
• Analyze accounts receivable reports to review unpaid and denied claims and initiate appeals as necessary.
• Scrutinize all denials, ensuring the correctness of explanations of benefits and aiding in the resolution of discrepancies.
  
  

Required Skills

• A minimum of two years of dedicated experience in medical billing, preferably with Health Fusion or Advanced MD.
• Profound understanding of explanations of benefits (EOBs) with the capability to accurately post payments and make necessary adjustments.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with a reliable system for tracking claims.
• Proficiency in reviewing denials and ensuring the precision of explanations of benefits.
• Self-motivated with effective goal-setting abilities and a capacity to work independently.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical billing is essential, particularly in dental billing.
• Highly disciplined, detail-oriented, and capable of swiftly reviewing account ledgers to ensure appropriateness of payments and adjustments.
