Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer/Processor - Remote | Work From Home

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned mortgage loan professional to join our innovative team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will evaluate and process loan applications tailored specifically for our VA clientele. Your expertise will be crucial in engaging with applicants to collect necessary financial data, assess their creditworthiness, and clearly articulate loan terms.

Key Responsibilities

Manage incoming calls from VA applicants
Utilize Salesforce for tracking and managing new business opportunities
Conduct thorough interviews with applicants to gather pertinent financial information
Assess the creditworthiness of applicants diligently
Efficiently process loan applications
Submit files for underwriting review
Address and clear any outstanding approval conditions
Prepare files for the closing department
Assist clients in comprehending the terms and details of their contracts
Provide prospective clients with accurate rate quotes
Maintain meticulous records for all accounts

Required Skills

Previous experience as a Loan Processor is advantageous
Familiarity with mortgage Loan Origination Systems (LOS) such as Calyx, Encompass, LendingQB, etc.
Exceptional email organization and writing skills
Strong customer service and communication abilities
In-depth understanding of VA loan procedures, including WebLGY, Lender Handbook, AUS, etc.

Qualifications

Experience with military service is preferred
A comprehensive understanding of VA loan processes is required
