Translated is looking for an experienced, highly motivated and forward-thinking Senior Technical Project Manager to work directly with our top clients in the digital space.

This is a remote position to cover Pacific Time Zone office hours.

This is a contractor position for a full year, renewable.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical project management background, along with experience in localization tools, software development, and cross-functional communication. This role requires an individual who can independently manage projects from inception to completion, taking full ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • You manage projects within globalization technology, operations and cross-functionally across internal stakeholders.
  • You take ownership from scoping to delivery, ensuring projects are delivered on time. These include deploying scalable solutions powered by machine translation and human translation technology. 
  • You communicate with stakeholders across multiple teams and levels of the organization to ensure successful project delivery.
  • You work closely with the Localization and cross-functional teams to identify areas for process and technology improvements for optimizing globalization workflows and solutions.
  • You provide support on globalization tools, systems, and processes to internal cross-functional teams.

Requirements
  • Time Zone: This job is remote but needs to be carried out in Pacific Time Zone working hours.
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience: 
  • 5-8 years of experience in machine translation implementation, technical program management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with internationalization standards (Unicode and CLDR), localization tools, LQA processes, and continuous improvement practices are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:  
  • Experience with Localization tools and systems, including translation management systems, content management systems, and terminology management tools
  • Proficiency in a coding or scripting language (e.g. python, SQL, etc)
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana, Jira, etc. as well as Google Apps.
  • Expertise in machine translation and Large Language Models is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority with cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Track record of being a self-starter, self-motivated and outcome-oriented individual who seeks ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and resourcefulness to dive deep into finding operational and technical solutions for organizational issues
  • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity in a fluid and fast-moving organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Concise, fact-based and informative. Able to convey complex information simply. 
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
